WHAT ARE THE INCOME BRACKETS?
There are four tiers. The Government has already announced that in 2017 the family allowance will return to those who fall in the 4th step.
To determine the echelon, it is necessary to calculate the reference family income, considering the income of the whole household. This amount is divided by the number of children / young people in the household who are entitled to the payment, plus one.
The amount calculated is based on income levels established based on the index of social support (IAS).

In addition to the aforementioned calculations, to know the amount receivable of family allowance, it is necessary to consider the existing allowances.
Thus, the family allowance for children between 12 and 36 months is doubled for each family with two children, and triple for families with three or more children.
