Go with the whole family on a motorhome adventure in Croatia and discover the capital Zagreb, the beautiful waterfalls of the Plitvice and Krka National Parks, hike in the Paklenica National Park, enjoy the sun on the Istrian peninsula or the Dalmatian coast, and much more. See history of Croatia on agooddir.

Experience the fantastic freedom with a motorhome in Croatia – do not worry about booking hotel accommodation or unpacking the whole family’s luggage every day. Most people think of the azure Adriatic Sea when they think of Croatia but there is so much more to see! There are also beautiful national parks with waterfalls, mountains and canyons, spiced with charming villages, vineyards and the pleasant Mediterranean climate – in Croatia you have the recipe for an adventure holiday for the whole family!

The travel proposal includes a motorhome with four beds, kitchen and toilet / bath. All necessary equipment, such as bedding and kitchen equipment, statutory insurance, and free kilometers are included.

We collaborate with several motorhome companies in Croatia, such as Touring Cars, which we used in this particular travel proposal, McRent and Anywhere Campers. It is possible to book larger or smaller motorhomes, and also to book one-way rent, so that you, for example, pick up the motorhome in Zagreb and return it in Split or pick up / return in other cities.

Day 1: Departure from Scandinavia and arrival in Zagreb

Departure by flight to Zagreb airport, arrival the same day. You will be picked up on arrival and driven to the rental depot, where you will get a tour of the motorhome before heading towards Croatia’s fantastic nature and beautiful beaches.

Day 2-7: On a motorhome adventure

You continue your journey around Croatia. You have your own motorhome throughout the trip, so there are plenty of opportunities to experience the varied landscape, the historic cities and the diverse culture. Below you can read more about the areas, cities and national parks you can visit on your motorhome adventure in Croatia: • Istria: The heart-shaped peninsula of Istria in northern Croatia has many historical ties to Italy, which you can discover in both food culture and architecture. Pula is the largest city in Istria and is also called Little Rome because of the many Roman buildings. From Pula you can take day trips to the Brijuni archipelago, which housed President Tito’s old stronghold of wild antelopes and zebras. Also visit the town of Rovinj with its Venetian-inspired houses and Poreč with its Romanesque Euphrasian Basilica. • Grinding the abdomen: Explore the area’s beautiful islands, Cres, Lošinj, Rab and Krk. Inland you will find some of the most beautiful national parks in Croatia: Plitvice National Park with more than 1000 waterfalls and Paklenica National Park where there are good hiking opportunities. Dalmatia: Drive along the Adriatic coast with mountains and lush slopes on one side, and the crystal clear sea on the other. Discover the historic towns of Zadar, Šibenik, Split and Dubrovnik, charming small mountain villages, local wineries, take excursions to some of the beautiful islands that make up the Croatian archipelago and taste the local gastronomy. Day 8: Return of motorhome and return journey

Today it is time to return the motorhome, which you must do between kl. 08-18. It is quite possible to extend the rental period or return the motorhome in another city in Croatia if you want more time or a tailor-made trip – talk to one of our travel consultants about the different options to make your trip perfect. After returning the motorhome, you go to the airport and travel home to Scandinavia. The time depends on when your flight departs.

Overnight stays

There is no place for camping booked, but you book this yourself during the trip. There are many different campsites in Croatia, most with facilities and amenities that we recognize from Swedish campsites.
