Beer lounging, beach holidays and parachuting across Bantayan Island. Stop in Cebu City and on to the beautiful coast of Moalboal. The journey ends on the island of Malapascua where you can experience paradise beaches and an absolutely fantastic underwater life.
The journey begins in Cebu City, located on the eastern side of the island of Cebu, one of the largest islands in the Visayas region. Cebu City is a modern Filipino city with historical traces of Spanish colonial times. Here you can visit the Magellan’s Cross, the San Pedro colonial fortress or the old church Basílica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebú. Outside Cebu City you will find Mactan Island, which is connected to Cebu City via two bridges. The international airport is also located here. Know more about Philippines on smber.
On to Moalboal and the many beautiful nature and adventure experiences nearby. Here you will find beautiful Whitesand Beach and you can enjoy fascinating snorkelling and diving in the area. Among other things, you can make interesting excursions to the rocky Pescador Island, which is close to the coast. Here you see colorful fish and large sardines in the beautiful turquoise blue water. In Moalboal, there are a lot of fun activities where you can, among other things, climb ropes at the Kawasan Waterfall case or take a fun tubing river trip in a rubber ring.
You then continue partly total relaxation on a beautiful beach and a fun and adrenaline-filled skydive over Bantayan Island. This program item can of course be replaced in consultation with us if you would rather prefer other experiences. From Bantayan you can take a full or half day trip to Virgin Island, which again offers delicious and peaceful beaches that with a little luck you can have completely to yourself. There is also Ogtong Cave, a small underground lake that cools well in the heat, and a mangrove plantation that offers a pleasant break in beach life.
The last stop is Malapascua, a peaceful gem, completely car-free, just under 3 km long and 1 km wide and perfect for walking around. Along the way you pass beautiful beaches and small fishing villages. When you reach the northwestern part of the island you will see a lighthouse from the top of which there is a fantastic view of the whole island and the surrounding sea. If you dive, there are unique experiences at the “Monad Shoal” dive site near Malapascua. Here lives the rare fox shark that can grow up to six meters long. Malapascua fully invites you to relax, snorkel and dive.
Day 1: Departure from Scandinavia
Departure from Scandinavia to Cebu City, the Philippines’ second largest city where you arrive the next day. Depending on the airline, you have one to two stopover rooms along the way.
Day 2: Arrival in Cebu City
Upon arrival in Cebu City, you will be picked up at the airport by a driver who will take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your own disposal.
Day 3: City tour of Cebu City
After breakfast you will be picked up by your driver / guide who will then take you on an exciting half-day tour around the city’s sights. Cebu City is a modern Filipino city with historical traces of Spanish colonial times. Today you will visit the Magellanic Cross, the San Pedro Fort and the Minor del Santo Niño de Cebú Church. In the extension of Cebu City you will find Mactan Island which is connected via two bridges. The tour ends at 13-14 and the rest of the day is at your own disposal. ( F )
Day 4: Cebu City to the coastal area of Moalboal (Cebu Island)
After breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel and taken to the opposite side of the island of Cebu, a drive of about three hours. It is a quiet area that attracts tourists with an interest in the fantastic underwater life and other interesting experiences in the surroundings. If you are interested in snorkeling or diving, we can recommend diving trips in the area with everything from a sunken wreck to giant sardine shoals. The rest of the day is at your own disposal. Day 5-7: Exploration and exploration of Moalboal
The days are on their own with a good opportunity for both underwater experiences and hiking on the island. For superb snorkeling or diving, head out to the rocky island of Pescador Island which is quite close to the coast. Here you can see colorful fish and large shoals of sardines in the beautiful turquoise blue water. From Moalboal there are a lot of fun activities where you can experience the Kawasan waterfall in the middle of the jungle, climb ropes among the rocks or embark on a fun tubing ride in a rubber ring along the river. If you want to spend your days on the beach and enjoy life, the obvious choice is to visit the beautiful beach which is very aptly named White Beach and which is surrounded by turquoise blue water. In Moalboal you will find a number of different restaurants where you can enjoy your dinner. The days are at your own disposal. ( F)
Day 8: Moalboal – Bantayan Island
From Moalboal we head towards Bantayan Island at the northwest corner of Cebu. A longer transport day awaits and it takes about 8 hours to travel between the places including an hour by ferry. After arriving at Bantayan Island, spend the rest of the day on your own exploring hotels and surroundings. ( F )
Day 9: Skydiving over Bantayan Island
After breakfast, an adventurous, fun and not least challenging parachute jump over Bantayan Island awaits, of course together with an experienced parachute guide. Experience the island’s beautiful nature and azure waters from a bird’s eye view. After you have been picked up, a thorough safety course with the staff awaits, where all details are carefully examined. You do not need to have prior knowledge of this adrenaline-filled experience as long as you have the desire and physique to try. After a short free fall from the plane, the parachute is triggered by your guide at an altitude of about 1500 meters and it will now be a good time to enjoy the magnificent view of the island before you land safely on the ground again. From here the trip goes back to the hotel and the rest of the day at your own disposal. Day 10-11: Discover Bantayan Island on your own
These days you are on your own and can spend time relaxing and swimming on the many beautiful beaches in the area. Take a full or half day trip to Virgin Island, which offers delicious and peaceful beaches that you can have all to yourself with a little luck. Here is also Ogtong Cave, a small underground lake that cools in the heat, as well as a nice mangrove plantation that offers a little break in beach life. If you want to swim during your stay, then be aware that there may be tides. If it is important for you to be able to swim all morning and afternoon, we recommend that you choose a hotel with a pool. Also note that the only ATM machine is in Bantayan City (accessible in about 20 minutes by motorcycle from Santa Fe) but that several hotels and accommodations accept international credit cards
Day 12: Bantayan Island – Malapascua Island
You will be picked up at your hotel and sailed directly to the nearby island of Malapascua in your own outrigger boat, a boat trip of about two hours. Upon arrival, the rest of the day is at your own disposal.
Day 13-15: Experience the island of Malapascua on your own
Malapascua is a small tranquil gem completely without cars, under three kilometers long and one kilometer wide, so it is perfect for hiking everywhere. Along the way you pass beautiful beaches and small fishing villages. When you reach the northwestern part of the island you will see a lighthouse from the top of which there is a fantastic view of the whole island and the surrounding sea. If you dive, there are unique experiences at the “Monad Shoal” dive site near Malapascua. Here lives the rare fox shark (combine shark) which can grow up to six meters long. The fox shark usually hunts in deep water but has found a cleaning station at Monad Shoal and therefore returns here. There is also the opportunity to see other species of sharks and mantas in the area. Malapascua invites you to relax, snorkel and dive, and you have three days to enjoy this unique gem on your own. Day 16: Malapascua – Cebu City
From Malapascua the trip goes back to Cebu City. You will be taken by boat to Cebu and then driven to Cebu City. You have an overnight stay before returning home. Upon arrival, the rest of the day is at your disposal. ( F )
Day 17: Cebu City -Scandinavia
After an eventful holiday in the Philippines, the journey goes home. You will be picked up at the hotel and taken to Cebu City Airport. The time depends on when your flight abroad departs. ( F )
