Iowa is located in the Midwestern region of the United States. It is bordered by Minnesota to the north, Wisconsin and Illinois to the east, Missouri to the south, and South Dakota and Nebraska to the west. The state is divided into 99 counties with the capital city being Des Moines. Iowa covers an area of 56,272 square miles making it 23rd largest state in terms of land area. Major Cities
