School and Education in Texas

Texas is a state located in the southern United States. It is bordered by Oklahoma on the north, Louisiana on the east, Arkansas on the northeast, and New Mexico to the west. The Gulf of Mexico lies to the southeast. Texas covers an area of 268,820 square miles, making it the second largest state in the United States after Alaska. The highest point in Texas is Guadalupe Peak at 8,749 feet above sea level. The state’s low point is sea level at Galveston on the Gulf Coast.
