MALDIVES IN OWN VILLA

Gather family and friends and head to the paradise beaches of the Maldives. Enjoy sun, swimming, beach and the crystal clear waters of the Maldives. Live in your own house with garden and room for up to 10 people.

Go to the Maldives and stay on one of the local small islands. You live in a nice and newly built house. By living like this, you also get an insight into the local everyday life while enjoying the beautiful sea or relaxing with a good book.

The island of Dhiffushi is something out of the ordinary. Among other things, it has been voted the best island to live on as a tourist. Dhiffushi has coral reefs, sandy beaches, uninhabited islands, surf beaches, fishing waters and dolphin areas. And it is only 35-45 minutes to the capital Malé and the airport.

Day 1: Departure from Scandinavia

You fly to the Maldives – during the trip you have one or two stopovers depending on which airline you travel with.

Day 2: Arrival in the Maldives and transfer by speedboat to Dhiffushi

You will be met at the airport and then take a motorboat for 45 minutes to Dhiffushi.

Day 3-8 Stay at Dhiffushi

The house you will live in is called Veli Vilaa and is located on the island’s best beach – a real paradise beach, complete with turquoise water. The house has four bedrooms, air conditioning, private garden and wifi. You can order food directly from the restaurant that is delivered to your villa if you so wish. Talk to us at Winberg Travel if you want to add meals to the program. Here you will find towels and bed linen, bicycles, snorkelling equipment and the opportunity to grill in the garden. The island is 900 meters long and 200 meters wide. It is covered with coconut trees, the roads are made of coral sand and with a few exceptions it is car-free. About 1,200 inhabitants live permanently and their main source of income is fishing. The island is safe and crime is so low that the police are hardly needed here. There is a health center and pharmacy. The beaches, the playground, the football field and school make Dhiffushi very child-friendly. The locals love children and the limited traffic makes the island a safe and secure place for younger visitors to explore. Dhiffushi has several small grocery stores and souvenir shops. Here on the island you pay with cash – either Maldivian rufiyaa or US dollars. You must remember to withdraw money at the airport or in Malé, as there are no ATMs on site. The island has three cafes: Cozy Café, Dream Corner View and Faruma, all of which serve food, coffee, tea and freshly squeezed juices at affordable prices. The island’s second guesthouse also serves food and drinks. When visiting smaller guesthouses, however, you should order lunch and dinner well in advance, preferably a couple of hours in advance, so that they have time to buy ingredients. The island’s largest guesthouse is called Rashu Hiya and each evening offers a buffet for about $ 12, with both Maldivian and international dishes. Rashu Hiya also has cozy seating down by the water.
